The private security agencies regulation act 2005 (PSARA) is an act that was passed by the Government of India in 2005 and billed in the Parliament. All security agencies in India are governed by this act and all must abide by the rules and regulations set down by this act. In the state of Telangana there are only 53 security agencies registered under this act as of 1.10.2021. Please beware of security guards and security agencies in Hyderabad, Telangana that do not have this license which is issued by the Home Department of the state.
